Week 2 Report: The Core Mechanic


This week, we have successfully developed and implemented the core mechanic into our game. When the player presses W or Space key, the circle will jump. This also works by holding W or Space, so when you touch a surface it will bounce you right away. It was implemented because the difficulty to time the jump properly when touching a surface, because we implemented bouncing. We also implemented Stomp, player will go down in high speed when pressing S. This is used to force land and to kill some enemies.

Meanwhile, our assets, including sprites, art, sounds, and music, are still in development. The player and enemy will be made out off a material, probably metal. We plan to make our own sounds and music.
